Dedicated hearts behind our mission

Dwayne Nathan
Dwayne Nathan Jack brings a deeply personal and powerful story to the heart of RoadLight. Having spent 17 years in and out of prison, Dwayne’s life was shaped by cycles of violence, crime, and survival. He has survived being stabbed, shot, and attacked with a machete—experiences that could have easily ended his journey. Instead, he chose to transform his pain into purpose. His lived experience fuels a deep understanding of the challenges facing vulnerable young people, and today, Dwayne is a respected mentor, educator, and leader—dedicated to showing others that real change is possible.

Melanie Jack
Melanie Jack, herself a survivor of exploitation and adversity, has long been a champion for vulnerable youth. With a strong background in youth justice, education, and therapeutic mentoring, Melanie brings both structure and compassion to RoadLight’s trauma-informed approach. Her work is particularly focused on empowering young women and ensuring those often overlooked receive the tailored support they deserve.

Mariusz Wojcik
Mariusz Wojcik was placed in care at the age of five, an early disruption that led to years of behavioural challenges and low self-confidence. At 21, Mariusz found himself in prison—a pivotal moment that inspired him to break the cycle. Through determination and support, he confronted his trauma, prioritised his mental health, and rebuilt his life. Today, he is a successful businessman and co-founder of RoadLight, driven by a mission to create opportunities and pathways for young people who, like him, just needed someone to believe in them.
